VIP police unit makes own laws: iLIVE
Regarding "VIP cops fight eviction" (yesterday), I couldn't believe the comments made by police officers who were about to be evicted from their barracks.
Comments such as: "We are trained to kill", "We are not going to hesitate", and "Let them come, we are waiting for them", came from a police officer who swore to uphold the laws of the land.
The VIP protection unit already has a tarnished image, often being very heavy-handed in the execution of its duties.
The whole unit needs an overhaul and an image makeover.
Its members have almost become a law unto themselves.
