A lone voice
WHAT a pity Malusi Gigaba is a lone voice about the rot that seeps out of Luthuli House, "Deputy minister cries foul over Gigaba views" (January 29). His honesty and integrity must confuse the ANC elite. - Chip, by SMS
Bridge the gap
I AGREE with Joe Latakgomo "Confidence gap needs bridging by the media" (January 29). This is the only key to restoring the public's waning confidence in the media. It's either that or the media will drift further away from the public, giving credence to the notion that today's media is sensationalist and biased.- Sana Mabena, Mpumalanga
Trovato fan
IT'S so refreshing to read Ben Trovato on a Sunday. - Geraldine, by e-mail
Teacher deficit
SORRY to burst the bubble of everyone wanting an African language in schools, "The new apartheid" (January 29). There aren't, and never will be, nearly enough African language teachers. - Albie, Port Elizabeth
Mbeki fever
JONNY Steinberg, I congratulate you for your courage to speak your mind in a country where many people died for freedom of expression "Mbeki's demons goaded him into a wicked trap" (January 29). However, I am disappointed in your BOM (Blame it on Mbeki) infection. - Ndoda Zidlele, Mthatha
Redi is tops
REDI Tlhabi has spoken the truth yet again "Roll over and play dumb as lottery rips us off" (January 25). Redi, you are SA's Oprah. - YJay, by SMS
I AM now giving my Lotto money directly to a charity that is accountable and produces accounts that are audited and specific. I won't get any winnings from this, but at least my money is effectively utilised.- Alex Lawton, by e-mail
