This ANC train is headed for a crash: iLIVE

Prince Dabula, Mdantsane | 06 February, 2012 00:02

As bizarre as it sounds, teachers in the Eastern Cape have been on a go-slow for the past 17 years, perhaps unknowingly.

The department of education has been sleeping since then. Nothing has changed except the redeployment of inefficient officials .

Our universities in the region are ill-equipped to even accommodate new students.

Corruption is still rife, and the succession debate in the ruling party is taking centre stage. We can expect nothing less than carefully designed speeches with the intention to desensitise constituencies to the real issues that affect them. We should brace ourselves for a crash landing.
