Nationalise at our peril: iLIVE
Regarding the front page article headlined "We won't be bullied: Gwede", by Amukelani Chauke (The Times yesterday) - Gwede, nobody is bullying you into anything.
It is the begging that follows after the mines have been nationalised and pillaged by government family members that is the problem.
If you look at the mess most African countries are in, you might just tone down your ANC/anti-apartheid rhetoric of the past.
Those countries are examples of nationalisation of the mines.
Nationalise the South African mines, and all the mining expertise such as the mineral markets, financial, engineering, suppliers and highly qualified personnel will leave for countries where they are highly valued and needed.
We already have a prime example of a failed gold mine belonging to the family of a prominent ANC member.
Employment, not nationalisation, should be discussed .
