Has Mbeki come in from the cold? iLIVE

Thabile Mange, by e-mail | 21 February, 2012 00:45

Has former President Thabo Mbeki heeded the call of embattled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema that he end his self-imposed exile and contribute to local politics?

Mbeki seems to have found his voice again and is now making headline news on local politics. If he's not delivering a public lecture at a university, he is being interviewed on a radio talkshow.

It seems many, the media included, have missed Mbeki's voice, judging by the manner in which he has been welcomed back.

Is he making a political comeback, as some have suggested?

Mbeki is one the great statesman and I am sure if we the locals can't use his intellect, elsewhere they benefit.
