Getting tough on billing blues: iLIVE

Adele, Raumarais Park | 26 March, 2012 00:15

Well done, Mr Mayor ("Tau tough on city slackers", March 23). What a good idea. Imagine people being responsible for what they do.

I understand it will take months for the agreements to be signed and implemented. Until then, I'm sure Johannesburg residents would be pleased to receive regular updates on how the billing is progressing.

The 5555 number works exactly the way our venerated mayor says, but I get the idea that even he has realised it is not dealing with the problem. Let's see these areas functioning before we talk about infrastructure.
