Tips to boost our tourism industry:iLIVE

Khanya Ngonyama, by e-mail | 17 April, 2012 00:22

In response to the article "Record tourist numbers" (April 13), about the increasing tourist numbers in South Africa, we can do the following:

Improve transport infrastructure as this will increase the mobility of visitors within the country;

Reduce crime rates for tourists to feel safer so they come back;

Limit price increases by hotels so tourists don't view South Africa as an expensive destination;

Host more international conferences and expos to attract more business tourists; and

Have South African tourism promote the country at international exhibitions.
