Lots to lose in e-toll system: iLIVE

Bevan Barker, Johannesburg | 24 April, 2012 00:06

They say history repeats itself. Some say Sanral could be likened to the apartheid-era administration and the e-tags equated to the "dompas".

Nobody wants this ridiculous tolling system as it has not been thought through. Shopping complexes will lose business, golf courses will close, restaurants, theatres and cinemas may be forced to shut down and secondary roads will be ruined.

The travel industry will be hit below the belt and that will have a terrible effect on our national tourism income.
