Jobs for cadres state's downfall: iLIVE

Mike, by e-mail | 22 May, 2012 01:00

One reads articles like the one in your May 18 issue ("Seize mines, banks now") with trepidation.

Presumably, nationalisation of major enterprises means they would be managed by the government.

The problem is that the government makes a hash of everything it touches.

Witness two articles in the same issue, namely, "Healthcare crisis looms", and "No plans made for textbooks".

The government's policy of placing "loyal cadres" rather than competent people in key positions is a recipe for catastrophe.
