Cash corrupts beautiful game
Congratulations to Manchester City for "buying" the Barclay's Premier League.
I am not a Manchester United fan and this is not sour grapes, but, like other aggrieved football lovers, it gets to me that a team can win big trophies just because of money. What has the sporting world become but a sea of cash?
Let's hope the Uefa fair play system makes a difference.
In decades gone by, winning teams were much more credible as they played for pride and with passion, with no mercenaries for hire. Football needs to get back to its roots.
