So the ANC has sold out?: iLIVE

Artwork that forms part of Brett Murray's exhibition entitled "Hail to the Thief" at the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg. PICTURE LAUREN MULLIGAN

So let me get this straight - Brett Murray's artwork, on display in the Goodman Gallery, which portrays our so-called president with his genitals exposed is the image evoking all the shame and outrage.

Yet alongside this picture stands a pair of posters of the ANC badge, one stating: ANC FOR SALE and the other: ANC SOLD.

Ergo: Zuma, the ANC and its collective supporters (who are willing to bare their own dangly bits in a protest march) concede that the ANC has, in fact, sold out and this is somehow less shameful or onerous than a tasteless picture of their leader with his wedding tackle on display?

This does now place the entire party and its priority in focus for me.

And, folks, what is being said here is very frightening indeed. To my mind, the ANC, Zuma et-al should be ashamed of that flagrant indifference -- it is far more distasteful than any portrayal of human genitals, real or imagined.

*For the record,  I am in no way related to Brett Murray.
