NHI needs new solution: iLIVE

Derick Poremba-Brumer, by e-mail | 30 May, 2012 00:25

There's a big problem with finding the medical expertise needed for the successful roll-out of the NHI ("Health minister wants four hours a day from doctors", May 28).

But, if we keep looking for answers to the problem in the same places, we are not going to find any new solutions.

I read during my studies that most of a person's visits to a general practitioner were unnecessary because their problems were actually psychological in origin. It made a lot of sense then - and now. That is, is your glass half-full or half-empty?
