Wake up South Africa, we must all take a stand

Liz, Durban North | 12 June, 2012 00:14

I was so sad yesterday morning after reading about the children in Mkanzini village and what they go through.

To every one of you in this country who has stolen money through corruption, bribery and the like, and especially our government, take a look at the pictures of these children.

Read the story and think of these little children with no food and no education.

What is going to happen to them this winter?

Hang your heads in shame.

These children have no future. They are the forgotten people of this country - like millions more.

We all need to take a stand and say "no more". Empty promises are not going to help these little children to have any kind of future other than what they have now.

Wake up, South Africans. We have taken one step forward and 20 steps backwards.
