Father to Son - the end of an affair: Poem
Poem about the end of Zuma's relationship with Malema.
Julius come, take
a seat and listen, just shut up, you have talked too much alread
All this
bickering is costing me dearly and my votes are going away with it
Can’t you just
keep quiet and let me keep doing my job in peace?
Obviously you
don’t like me no more, and you’ve made it crystal clear.
Believe me I
appreciate what you have done for me in the past, but now it’s over.
Going around
insulting journalists and trying to oust presidents won’t help you
Every time you
open your mouth for people to gather they all come
Don’t be fooled
and think they love you, they don’t, they laugh at you
Love, like
respect is earned and will varnish if not nurtured
Eternal love and
respect are never guaranteed comrade
You will have to
work hard to earn them, blood sweat and tears, my boy.
I advise you to
go back to your village for advice from the elders
Help yourself and
retire to your village like Mbalula did, and learn the rules
Learn the rules
of respect and that will help you grow and mature
Eat the humble
pie and stop wasting everybody’s time
Kiss and make up
with the people you’ve wronged and you will be fine
I saw you once with
Thabo the other day and it showed me you can kiss and make up.
Seeking to wreak
havoc will not take you far, it is never a solution
All it will do is
tarnish your image further
Zille, Motlanthe
and Tokyo are my concern at the moment, I need to focus
Understand this
“I can’t afford to be removed; I have got wives and kids to feed
Mangaung is
around the corner and I need to stay on top of my game”
And he burst into
song “Awulethu Mshini wam, Awulethu
Mshini wam awulethu”
