ANC stance on IFP insulting: iLIVE

If being a member of the IFP is considered an insult in the ANC, it explains why there was a low-intensity war in KwaZulu-Natal over many years ("Mission to tarnish Blade's past", yesterday).

The ANC co-opted the New National Party , formerly known as the National Party , into its ranks. The ANC seems more forgiving towards its former oppressors than it is towards the IFP.

Many South Africans would not be insulted to be called IFP members, but would be horrified to be associated with the ANC.
