Petros way off the mark: iLIVE

Upshy Ndlovu, by e-mail | 25 June, 2012 00:05

I sincerely sympathise with The Times on this matter. I also listened to both the interviews of Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant-General Mzwandile Petros and your journalist Graeme Hosken by Talk Radio 702 breakfast show host John Robbie.

I couldn't believe my ears after the interviews when I heard Robbie saying he is confused.

I didn't see the front-page article ("Cops pull plug on 'blue-light' task team" on June 19); it was the first time I heard Hosken's side of the story.

I was persuaded that Petros has a case to answer, given his response. The man was shying away from the truth. He didn't make sense to me.

I was surprised to hear Robbie, the man I respect so much, fail to pick up that the commissioner's side of the story is just miles away from common sense.
