Apartheid to apathyheid: iLIVE

The National Party had apartheid. The ANC suffers from apathyheid.
An apathetic response to many cries - this time from pupils in Limpopo who for six months waited for textbooks to be delivered, only for Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga to say this was all due to a logistical oversight.
Amazingly, our revolutionary spirit awoke because of this same inadequacy in the field of education, and the many protests eventually led to the new dispensation.
Now, with excess funds there are generous bailouts, massive ANC centenary parties, overseas trips, and a $2-billion pledge for the IMF.
Back at home, a mumbling Motshekga is trying to explain why the textbooks failed to arrive. An educated guess is that she will not take it on the chin and resign.
