What else can shock the Limpopo public? How on earth does the provincial government justify the burning of knowledge ("Textbooks crisis a national shame", yesterday).

Surely Premier Cassel Mathale does not burn his German car to make way for a new one?

So, why this shredding and setting alight of the only books Limpopo pupils could have had?

I'm very concerned that Limpopo residents have not bayed for Mathale's blood.

This is exactly how Zimbabwe, which was once the SADC's economic basket, declined into a failed state. The burning of usable textbooks is enough reason to fire Mathale now, not tomorrow.

Pupils have already been prejudiced by the Limpopo government's acts. After thorough investigation, Mathale and his incompetent crew[must be investigated] instead of being deployed to diplomatic posts which they don't deserve.
