I'd just like to echo your sentiments on the Gautrain article. I too was stuck for 90mins last night, about 5 minutes out of ORT en route to Sandton. There was hardly any meaningful communication on what was wrong, what to expect in terms of delays, and clearly no emergency plan for situations like this.

People were hungry and thirsty, and when I tried to open a drink from my bag after 1 hr being stuck - a security guard had the audacity to tell me to put it away! I am disgusted by their handling of the whole thing and want to complain further. I would at the very least expect a refund for trouble caused and delays incurred. Some women were crying, not knowing how long we'd be stuck in the cold and dark, causing others to feel panicked at the apparent lack of any plan to get us off or in any way ease our concerns. What utter crap! Mine deaths are always tragic and are treated as such by every decent person in this country, including the owners of the mines. I wish there was an equal outcry when people are killed in taxi or bus related accidents, but I suppose that this is too much to ask since the unions are up to their necks in patronage to these lawless organisations. The award show would have been really nice other than the fact that most of it was spent bleeping out the profanity of the rappers. It appears that the show is being taken over by rap music with the exception of the memorials or the lifetime achievement awards.  Let’s get it back to where it was – rappers – have respect for elders in person and over the TV waves.  It’s not cute and it definitely not appealing, while it does make money – disgusting! How many more women have to say the same before people believe them.

His daughter should not be allowed to be brain washed by a cult whose only God is really money.

Recent emails from people within it show is it not a religion and is making all believers into sales people that are to channel all the money to head office.
