The appointment of Gordon Igesund as head coach is a boost to our national team.

Judging by the ridiculous mandate given to Igesund, it is clear Safa was forced by public demand to appoint the man who won the PSL championship four times with different teams. Giving him a short contract with a reduced salary, but increased expectations, is setting him up for failure. But we hope Igesund will deliver, nonetheless.

Igesund must know we are fully behind him. He must select his players without fear or favour. We once conquered Africa, and we can do it again.
