Pointing with dirty fingers: iLIVE

It is easy to peep into others' backyards and rubbish their reputation, while your own backyard is full of junk ("Callous DA shuts doors of learning on the poor", yesterday).

The ANC should explore the concept of introspection before pointing fingers.

It can start by effectively managing its own provinces, in all spheres, from improving education to curbing corruption, before deflecting the public's attention to the DA.

If we had to measure overall performance in terms of addressing the many political, social and economic issues facing the people of South Africa, and deliver a rating, how well would the ANC compare with the DA?

Maybe this is the level at which political parties should compete.

Perhaps parties should receive votes in accordance with their actual achievements when national and provincial elections are held?

Elections along these lines would revolutionise how the people choose the political party that is placed in power.

We need a party that serves and honours us, its citizens.
