Motshekga must go: iLIVE

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says she deserves eight out of 10 for managing her portfolio.

If it weren't so tragic it would be laughable.

No wonder education is in the state it is if Motshekga thinks she deserves that mark. She has run the portfolio into the ground.

From the time she took over the ministry things have gone downhill rapidly, culminating in the latest saga regarding textbooks.

I see Motshekga's ministry is one of those that parliament is bringing to book for not answering questions.

The rules require members of the executive to respond within 10 days to written questions from parliament, but the latest figures show that Motshekga has not answered 37 questions.

She also serves as the head of the ANC Women's League and, quite frankly, cannot even get together a quorum.

It is time she resigned.
