Book your support for Jansen: iLIVE

Professor Jonathan Jansen is urging government to "commission a more comprehensive study of the textbook industry" ("Fiddling the books", August 1) .

Seeing as the Special Investigating Unit is already going after the misspent R5-billion in government departments, and considering the furore sparked by the textbook issue, the government should be doing what Jansen is suggesting.

If this matter is left to fester it will plunge education into a bigger crisis. Public and media support for Jansen's suggestion is required so the extent of the problem is exposed.
