Justice Malala's column "Day of the Nothing Men" (August 6) seems to have ruffled feathers. Most people know what the problems are, but few have a solution other than to let the DA take over.

No matter which party is in power with an overwhelming majority, our problems will not go away. Not while the ruling party can hire friends and relatives and still be confident it will retain power. We need to learn from mature democracies that promptly replace the ruling party if it fails.
