My humble advice to Benni McCarthy: iLIVE

Sydney Gutyungwa | 03 September, 2012 12:43

I don't see Benni completing this season, the man is finished, I saw him dragging his heavy body like a cheetah drags a prey during his last game...he simply can't run. And, as long as there are no crosses from the flanks, Benni can’t simply play; especially when he is tightly marked. Pirates are making a big mistake by building the team’s success around Benni; overseas teams shunned him for the obvious reason.

The man is past his sell by date! You’ve made your history Benni, and we still remember so passionately, the 4 goals you scored in the AFCON finals; to us South Africans, you remain one of the greats in the world of football. Forget playing full time soccer, think business. If you still want to run a little, then take my advice below.

I suggest Benni joins a smaller club in PSL if he wants to have a piece of mind...stay away from big teams, they will depress him and drive him to the bottle.

He's not playing for money anymore, has nothing to prove or achieve; therefore, why waste your used up energy anyway at Pirates! Join a small team, and just mellow up and wind down in your twilight years...you made your history and mark in the world of football, save yourself unnecessary embarrassment, and retire gracefully, playing in a smaller team will do you a world of good!

Take my advice..
