Malema stole control: iLIVE

COSATU believes workers must control the structures and committees of the federation and there are programmes to develop this.

But what we have witnessed at Marikana and Anglo Platinum mines is terrifying.

Cosatu's policies have been violated with impunity.

Worker control has been taken without compensation by a hypocrite who calls for anarchy in the mines. At the heart of this ill advice and unrest are some opportunistic leaders who see former ANC Youth League president Julius Malema as a useful idiot who will aid their selfish agendas.

While the country burns, we must look for answers from Tokyo Sexwale, Fikile Mbalula, Paul Mashatile, Mathews Phosa and even Zwelinzima Vavi, a well-known supporter of Malema.

In Lonmin, National Union of Mineworkers' shop stewards have been subjected to violent deaths that have not yet been properly reported in the media.

Malema and Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union leaders have stolen worker control in Lonmin. They have resorted to intimidation, violence and chaos because it is the only viable route for them.
