'E' in tolls is for enrichment: iLIVE
Regarding e-tolling, it is back to Plan A, though I now agree with the Constitutional Court decision and better understand its function. Plan A continues to be that I will not pay one cent to e-tolling until I have seen that corruption is not involved.
I believe nothing is undertaken by government unless there is financial benefit to the ANC, its personnel, cadres or cronies.
E-tolling is a perfect example of how the government governs. Should I be wrong, it will take proof that money collected will benefit South Africa . I can't agree that an expensive, untested and outdated system of e-tolling will benefit South Africans more than the same amount of money, paid by taxpayers, used to build a school and properly train teachers to teach underprivileged children .
Government abuses voters by inaction or insufficient use for the needy of tax money in its trust, rewarding them with T-shirts and food at election time to ensure they continue to vote ANC. This applies to the many uneducated people who remain underprivileged 18 years after being promised "a better life for all". E-tolling is not an answer for them or me.
