Concourt did not take the high road: ILIVE
The Constitutional Court's ruling on e-tolls was deeply flawed. To say that e-tolling must be allowed because of the "harm and inconvenience" the government will suffer if it is not, is unfair. Why must the populace suffer for the government's lack of foresight?
The Constitutional Court should also have more carefully considered the proposal by the Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance that alternative means be used to pay off the debt Sanral incurred.
The letter of the law may have been applied, but the result of the ruling was injustice.
