'Limpopo mafia' cost us dearly: iLIVE

E Schwentzek, by e-mail | 27 September, 2012 00:38
Expelled youth league president Julius Malema

Hopefully the law is going to end the never-ending Julius Malema saga once and for all.

The "Limpopo mafia" has cost the taxpayer too much already and the sooner the National Prosecuting Authority takes decisive action, the better for us all. As Malema is hellbent on causing as much damage as possible to his former masters and the country, it is important that he accounts for why he has cheated the South African Revenue Service out of so much money.

At the same time we have to ask: Has the ANCYL lost its mind? How can an organisation hold a vigil for Malema? Is it to pray for forgiveness or is it to ask for protection from prosecution? Either way, it is pathetic for the ANCYL to take sides. Malema's ill-discipline and statements are not befitting a former youth league president in the first place and he should have been a disgrace for that organisation. Thankfully, the ANCYL does not represent the majority of South African youth.
