Numbers game shame: iLIVE

Theo Martinez, Johannesburg | 02 October, 2012 00:32
President Jacob Zuma. File photo.

It's becoming cold, calculated and very cynical ("Mangaung a numbers game", yesterday). The ANC membership audit leaves one wondering if the books have been manipulated.

Only the three main pro-Jacob Zuma provinces have had a massive increase in members. But ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, when presenting the audit, just acts like nothing's up. One should really wonder if the rot has taken the decisive, evil turn to be "creative" with membership numbers to guarantee a Zuma victory in Mangaung before the voting starts. It's now also time to openly ask how the ANC will act when it fears it might lose an election.
