All over the world, rulers have secured their homes with state fiscus. Why should South Africa differ ("Cancel Nkandla upgrade: Mazibuko", October 1)?

Lindiwe Mazibuko is a prominent member of a political party in good standing among the richest constituencies. What stops her from asking her DA membership to contribute towards building RDP houses, much-needed clinics, hospitals and classrooms in addition to improvingteachers' pay? -
