Hardly likely that it will be anyone but Zuma: iLIVE

President Jacob Zuma will be re-elected as the ANC president because he has the full support of KwaZulu-Natal, the biggest province in terms of ANC membership, Mpumalanga and the Free State.

KwaZulu-Natal membership numbers have grown since Zuma became president of the ANC. The ANC has done a sterling job in recruiting mainly former IFP members into its ranks.

The Eastern Cape, supposed to be a threat to Zuma's re-election, is in chaos and its membership has declined.

Gauteng, the third-largest province in ANC membership, has put forward ANC deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe as its preferred choice, but some huge factions are favouring Zuma.

Cosatu and the SACP have also voiced their unequivocal support for Zuma
