Pick n Pay can plant seeds for better farms: iLIVE

Food shortages can be avoided if people like Pick n Pay chairman Gareth Ackerman help us with farming development.
Only with the right resources, plans and education can we develop farmers who will sustain us as a nation.
I have a registered farming certificate and a small patch of land on which to farm, but I need funding.
That is where a retailer like Pick n Pay can help us, as it has done with family businesses in Mamelodi, Tembisa, Soshanguve and other places.
Pick n Pay could now invest in farming skills.
By helping create new farmers, and farmers with better skills, we can increase agricultural productivity.
That is how we can prevent a food crisis from enveloping our land.
