Truck drivers' strike is good news: iLIVE

Striking truck drivers hold up a placard with their demand.

The truck drivers' strike is the best news I have heard in a long time.

Big trucks slowly destroy roads, disrupt traffic in cities and are often the cause of accidents.

Switzerland bans big trucks in its towns.

Perhaps the strike will be a much-needed stimulus to use and improve our neglected railway service.

Another spin-off could be to encourage people to buy more food produced locally in their area.
