E-tolling is just 'legalised crime': ILIVE
Apparently 80% of e-tolling revenue is being sent out of South Africa as repayments to an Austrian company that supplied the "gantry system".
About 88% of the remaining 20% will go to toll collection costs, administration and salaries. It does not take a genius to calculate how much of the income is going to the roads, purportedly the reason e-tolling was initiated: roughly 2%.
Who approved this ? And what about hospitals, schools and our police force, all short of funds?
I appeal to your newspaper to do its utmost to stop this legalised "crime".
