Zuma must still answer to us: iLIVE

President Jacob Zuma, you have decided to plead ignorance in the face of overwhelming evidence suggesting that R240-million from the public purse is being spent on your private Nkandla homestead.

Perhaps we should remind you, Mr President, that you are holding a public office - and that you are still answerable to all of us.

In case no one has told you, South Africa has been downgraded by Moody's.

This is because you take ill-informed decisions, make fundamentally flawed appointments, and fail to inspire the people and the institutions you lead.

Your presidency has been tainted with innumerable deplorable slip-ups.

But the Marikana bloodbath - shameful, extra-judicial killings in the defence of monopoly capital - should serve as a warning of the devastation that awaits if you stay on as president.

In other constitutional democracies the president would have long ago resigned.

Yet you still have the nerve to divide the ANC over your desperate quest for a second term. Disgraceful.
