Now that it has been confirmed Julius Malema's behaviour was just the sour grapes reaction of a tenderpreneur, we hope a speedy prosecution of all those who are involved will follow ("Madonsela's report pins Malema down", October 11).

What is disconcerting, however, is that only once Malema started bad-mouthing the ANC was meaningful action taken against him. The question remains: Had he not rocked the ruling party's boat, would the same have happened?

It is clear that people who are in positions of influence should not be allowed to hold undisclosed shareholdings in or have links to companies that are awarded tenders.

But how many of those who are in power are involved in corruption and remain unpunished?
