Jacob Zuma is a leader destined for greatness: iLIVE

Justice Malala's column "Leave the chief alone" yesterday refers.

One day, President Jacob Zuma's photo will join those of Mandela, Luthuli and Tambo as one of the "great" leaders of the ANC's past.

Books will be written about him and memorial lectures held. Despite his many failings, he, too, will be hailed as a great leader. Mac Maharaj will see to that.

After Mangaung, the rot will continue, no matter who is in charge.

As you say, Mr Malala, it's not about the man. But it's not about the 4500 delegates either. Where you and I see failure, those in power see success for themselves.

They have their hands firmly in the cookie jar and do not want to leave.
