SABC given short shrift: iLive

S'THEMBISO Msomi's column "Shiny suits wreak havoc" (yesterday) seems to ignore the fact that the "Road to Mangaung" discussion was actually broadcast - albeit in a slightly different format - on Monday.

While the original cancellation of the broadcast generated extensive press coverage, the apparent relenting by the SABC has received no coverage at all.

In passing, I feel the accompanying Zapiro cartoon is a little unkind: the presenter, Sakina Kamwendo, while frequently supporting the ANC viewpoint, is by no means the uncritical puppet displayed.

By SABC standards, she is frequently a most outspoken commentator on current affairs.
