It was shocking to read "Grade 10 girl attempts suicide after being refused enrolment" (January 17).

It is bad enough that the school is throwing her out but that her father was discouraging her is even worse.

It is important that parents make their offspring's education their priority .

Drugs are easily obtained by pupils . The substance abused most by pupils is alcohol, followed by cigarettes and dagga.

Every day, parents should monitor their children's homework.
