A former cop with so many cars? Now that's rich! iLIVE

Sbu and Shauwn Mpisane Picture: JACKIE CLAUSEN

Corruption and tax evasion are extremely hazardous to one's common sense - how a former Durban cop and his wife can afford scores of luxury cars and a fancy mansion, and hope to remain unnoticed, defies all logic ("Wheels of fortune", yesterday).

My cousin's children go to school with the Mpisanes' son and he is escorted every day by two armed bodyguards.

They've either got lots to protect or the kid really hates being bullied!

Even more stressed than Shauwn and Sbu Mpisane must be their financial advisers. Look what happened to Schabir Shaik.

I bet many of the Mpisanes' [purported] co-conspirators are as nervous as the accountants.

It will be interesting to see what offers are made and what revelations will emerge.
