If Telford Vice is correct in contending that the Board of Control for Cricket India is opposed to Haroon Lorgat being appointed CEO of Cricket South Africa, the game at international level is in trouble ("Lorgat vs the Indians", yesterday).

It is unacceptable for one country to interfere with administration in another. Even to hint to Norman Arendse, CSA's lead independent director, that a tour might be cancelled is outrageous. Arendse should not have listened to why BCCI is opposed to Lorgat. He should have told it at the outset that such behaviour was intolerable. Moreover, the International Cricket Council should act. We already face its weakness in the cancellation of a Test series with Sri Lanka because of money.
