Absolutely ridiculous but so typical!

To have the audacity to dictate to dedicated professionals, the where to set up practice or the where to work when they are offering basic health care to any member of the public at large, is ludicrous.

Is this government going to pay the costs of moving a practice that may not get a permit/licence, as well as the set up costs of those professionals it wants to force out of certain areas and into others? I am sure not!!

Starting to sound more and more like the forced removals of another very dark era in this country! I thought those days were over in this so called “democratic South Africa of 2014”!

This is why many medical practitioners of all races, cannot wait to collect enough funds in order to afford to leave this country and set up practice elsewhere, perhaps somewhere where freedom of choice is respected, or worst still, decide to invest in a totally different industry and are lost to the medical profession altogether for ever. What a shame!

First it was enforced “community service” which by all accounts is an annual nightmare in terms of its poor administration, organisation, communication, registration etc, and now this nonsense.  What next?

The vast majority of the 62% who once again voted this type of decision makers back into power most recently, should hold themselves accountable for ridiculous policies and laws such as this one.

I am well into my 50’s so I don’t really care about myself, however I am saddened daily about the lack of future / freedom for my children and future grandchildren in this country, because of corruption, lawlessness, violence and issues such as this!

Quality medical professionals are so few in terms of real numbers within our total population, yet our government invents further ways to make them more disillusioned, forcing them to make up their minds to leave SA sooner, seeking a life elsewhere to offer their valuable services.

In my view, only an administration which is extremely short-sighted could be doing this!

Maybe we can set up yet another committee to investigate this matter too! We have a strong history of doing this so regularly for almost everything, at tax payer’s expense!
