The clenched fist in the context it was used by the civil rights movement in the US and liberation movements in Africa is called the Black Power Salute.

In South Africa recital of the slogan "Amandla ngawethu" (The power is ours) together with the raising of the fist demonstrates that.

I also find it odd the you choose to mention the Black Panther Party, in ANC wants your fistie, without mentioning the 1968 Black Power Salute by US athletes at the Olympic games in Mexico City.

It is a far more famous example of the use of the salute.
