LOCAL walking-tour company Past Experiences continues to offer short budget walking tours for Jo’burg residents.

The company schedules a  few public tours each month, led by friendly and knowledgeable guides, which show locals their own city. Highlights include explorations of Newtown and Ferreirasdorp and a tour of the city’s public artworks, as well as trips to Soweto by public transport.

Forthcoming tours include a tour of Braamfontein and a visit to the Wits arts museum (R100), a Saturday downtown shopping trip followed by tea at the Rand Club (R135), a wander through the graffiti of Newtown and a Braamfontein bar meander.

As the trips very popular, booking is essential.  E-mail past.experiences@hotmail.com or phone  011 678 3905 for information.
