The UK's Topshop is reportedly looking for the perfect space to set up a branch in Johannesburg .

Negotiations and plans are in the early stages, with things set to materialise in only about a year or so.

The rumours have been circulating for a few months, but so far we have yet to see any concrete evidence.

We hope all goes well, because there are never enough places for a girl to buy lovely clothes.

Known for its trendy products and collaborations with style giants such as Kate Moss, the brand, which started in 1964 in Sheffield, has branched out to 20 countries. Hopefully when it shuffles over to this side of the world, it will bring along its Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins stores.

SUPERMODEL Claudia Schiffer is bringing out a spring/summer 2012 collection inspired by one of the most enduring fashion icons of the 1960s, Jane Birkin.

''I looked to Jane Birkin's pictures from the 1960s as a starting point," she told British Vogue.

''I thought about what she would wear in different locations around the world - Paris, Ibiza and London - and how I would interpret that for myself."

Her collection is made up of wool and cashmere knits.

According to Vogue, it features super-soft, slouchy jumper dresses, orange retro-style shifts, and Schiffer's personal favourite - the gypsy dress: a softly-draped, colour-blocked style. - Andrea Nagel

SOUTH African model Candice Swanepoel has scored a top fashion campaign for Prabal Gurung.

Swanepoel, 23, has worked for Victoria's Secret since she was 17.

Now she poses in a series of shots - sporting dark hair - that are a combination of edginess, romance and glamour.
