A pair of trainers designed by Kanye West is being sold for tens of thousands of dollars.

The official price tag is $245, but bids for Nike's new Air Yeezy 2 sneakers – designed by the rapper – have already topped $80 000 on the Internet.

The shoes are not released in stores until Saturday, however people have been camping outside shops across America for over a week, hoping to get a pair of the in demand footwear which Kanye has been seen wearing for several months now.

Some people who were able to pre-order the sneakers have pre-listed them on eBay. The online auctions range in value but one has already reached $89 100.

Kanye launched an expletive-filled tirade against a fan during his performance in Paris at the weekend.

The All Of The Lights hitmaker was furious when an audience member shone a laser pen in his direction at the show in France, causing the US star – who was performing as part of he and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne world tour – ordered the man to "chill the f**k out" or be thrown out of the venue.
