After 16 years away, actress Sevigny was announced as Miu Miu's latest campaign star earlier this month, returning to the luxury label to front its Fall/Winter 2012 ads.

While the style icon was captured by Juergen Teller for the Spring/Summer 1996 campaign she starred in, this time fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were behind the lens.

Miu Miu often selects actresses to front its seasonal campaigns, with past models including Hailee Steinfeld, Kirsten Dunst, Katie Holmes and most recently Mia Wasikowska.

Sevigny's return to the label -- which is a sister line to Prada -- echoes a recent move among designers to cast familiar faces in their campaigns. Earlier this year German supermodel Claudia Schiffer revisited her iconic 1989 black and white ads for Guess by shooting a series of similar shots in honor of the brand's 30th anniversary.

In the new behind the scenes video for the Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign, Sevigny can be seen sporting an androgynous look as she sips tea, eats cake and lounges on a fluffy white carpet.
