Indoor bikes that sway like real road bikes

AFP Relaxnews | 21 September, 2012 13:49

Indoor cycling classes offer a sweat-inducing workout, but a static bike doesn't provide the same feel as a road bike. While the Italian-made RealRyder introduced its indoor cycle that moves and shifts, another competitor is on the scene: the Evo Fitness Bike.

Like the RealRyder, Evo shifts from side to side in the same way as a road bike does. Unlike static bikes that focus on the lower body, the company says its bike engages your core with its 10-degree pivot in both directions.

While two early versions of the bike (the Evo i, an introductory model, and the Evo ix) are currently available, Evo is introducing its "first full commercial version" for gyms dubbed the Evo cx this month for $1,599.

For your home gym, you can opt for the already available Evo i, priced at $1,149. The bikes are currently available in North America and UK.
