Mi Casa lends a hand for Cansa Shavathon

Times LIVE | 19 February, 2013 11:26

Local music sensation Mi Casa has pledge their support for the 2013 Cancer Association of South Africa’s 10th Shavathon by lending one of their hit songs for TV and radio ads.

These Streets will be hitting it up on the CANSA Shavathon ads all over the country, in the build-up to this year’s Shavathon.

The CANSA Shavathon turns 10 years old this year and Sue Janse Van Rensburg, CANSA CEO and cancer survivor of almost 30 years says: “We’re grateful to have their support and song to highlight this special 10th CANSA Shavathon.”

Mi Casa vocalist J-Something said: “We’re very excited to be involved with such a great and caring organisation like CANSA and we’re thrilled that our song will be featured in all the Shavathon ads, and look forward to be a part of the Shavathon force.”

CANSA encourages everyone to take part from February 25 to March 2, 2013 at their workplace or at a shopping centre by shaving, spraying, stencilling or gelling hair for a R50 donation. Kids under 12 pay R25).

“We also introducing for the first time, colour gel for those wanting a funky hair-do”, said Janse van Rensburg.

CANSA offers an online platform for volunteers and corporate South Africa to take part as online volunteers by raising funds, and win prizes.

One can join by clicking the ‘Like’ button on CANSA’s Facebook page and join CANSA's online community.  Visit Shavathon to sign up, or make a secure online donation.
